"My goal is to demonstrate that few questions in international politics have settled answers. As such, I seek to create a classroom atmosphere that encourages critical thinking and the active exchange of ideas; I do not want students arriving at class in a passive mode, expecting that I will provide them with an authoritative "correct" answer."
Dr. Kelly McHugh is a native of Delaware, and received her Ph. D. in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Delaware in May 2011. She teaches courses in international politics, and serves as the adviser for the Model United Nations Club and the College Republicans. She has published an article on Tony Blair's foreign policy views, and is currently working on a project that compares congressional behavior during the Vietnam and Iraq Wars.
