Mike Trice

Mike Trice is an assistant professor of communication teaching courses in public relations writing, news reporting and communication law and ethics. Trice is also the faculty advisor of The Southern, the Florida Southern College newspaper.

Before Trice began teaching at FSC, he earned his Bachelor or Arts degree in Journalism at Louisiana College, his Master’s of Science in public relations at the University of Southern Mississippi and his doctorate in mass communication from USM.

Before beginning his career as a professor, Trice worked in the fields of journalism and public relations. He returned to teach at his alma mater, Louisiana College, where he was the advisor of the campus newspaper.

Trice is a huge fan of the Houston Astros baseball team. Each year he looks forward to Spring Break because he says that the best part of the year is when he gets to go to Kissimmee to watch the spring training games.
