What do you enjoy most about working in FSC's Office of Admissions?
Since I grew up in
Florida, I relate with students from the southeast. I really enjoy meeting high school students and helping them
realize all the wonderful benefits of choosing to further their education at Florida Southern! The Admissions team at FSC is a wonderful group of people who are truly dedicated to helping students throughout the admissions process.
Do you have a favorite spot on campus?
The dock on Lake Hollingsworth at the FSC
Waterfront Program is my favorite spot on campus. It's always nice to see students laying out, reading a book
or relaxing by the lake.
What's the best tradition or campus event at Florida Southern?
"Blast Off" seems like a
great campus event for first-year students. Every student organization is set up in the Jenkins Field House,
giving first-year students a chance to interact with members from each organization and decide if they are
interested in joining. It is a great opportunity to get well-linked in the campus community right in the first
week of classes!
Describe a perfect Saturday in Lakeland.
A perfect Saturday in Lakeland would start
walk or run around Lake Hollingsworth with my dog, Tucker, and my husband, Jon. Waterskiing on the lake in the
beautiful Florida sunshine and meeting friends downtown for dinner would be a great way to spend the rest of
the day.
Any favorite restaurants or hangouts in Lakeland?
Abuelo's Mexican Embassy in Lakeside
Village. Fantastic!

I enjoy fishing, boating, going to the beach,
equestrian show jumping, watching college football, running, and doing anything outside in sunny Florida!
Is there something about you that would surprise people?
Not really. I am pretty outgoing
and it is easy to get to know me!
Other interesting facts?
I love to laugh. And I truly enjoy overseeing our Southern
Ambassador student tour guide program. It is such a wonderful opportunity to work with current students, who
provide constant reminders of why it is great to be a Florida Southern Moc!
