Where are you from?
Brookfield, Connecticut
What do you enjoy most about working at Florida Southern?
Over the span of a full year,
I have the chance to develop strong relationships with students and their families. It’s exciting to see
students make their final college decision—and even more exciting to hear they are becoming a Moc.
Do you have a favorite spot on campus?
The Nina B. Hollis Wellness Center is my
favorite spot! It’s such a great location, overlooking Lake Hollingsworth, to work out.
What's the best tradition or campus event at Florida Southern?
Scholars Weekend of
course!! It’s a chance to have all the prospective students together in one place. It’s a great
time for me to get to know my students, for students to get to know each other, and for everyone to see what
it’s like to be part of Florida Southern’s community.
Describe your idea of a perfect Saturday in Lakeland.
My perfect Saturday is very
simple: spending the day with friends at the pool and barbecuing. It doesn’t get much better.
Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont
[A tough one!] Bon Iver, Kings of Leon, Mumford and Sons, City and Colour, Drake
Lone Survivor, Friday Night Lights
The Untouchables, Friday Night Lights, Home Alone 1 and 2 [ever since I was a kid, those have been my all-time favorites!]
Bachelor's in Communication from Southeastern University
Any favorite restaurants or hangouts in Lakeland?
Lakeland has a lot of great
spots—including some hidden gems. My favorite spot to eat is probably the Chop Shop, as it has great food and
it is right downtown. Hanging out anywhere downtown is always fun.
What about hobbies or outside interests?
I love sports and being outside with friends.
Whether having a bunch of friends over to watch the NBA playoffs, playing pick-up basketball at a local park,
spending a weekend at the beach, or just going to my local gym to work out, it’s always a good time.
Other surprising facts?
I am sarcastic a lot. I try to be subtle, so it usually takes
everyone a minute to realize I am just joking around.
