Applying for Aid

As one of the South's most engaging — not to mention the most beautiful — small private colleges, Florida Southern provides more than just great value.

We also provide more than $20 million annually in scholarships — and more than $42 million in overall financial aid assistance if you factor in our federal and state awards. In fact, 96% of our students receive financial aid!

To apply for financial aid at Florida Southern, follow these 5 steps:

1 Apply for admission

Before you can be considered for financial aid, you must be accepted to Florida Southern. Your first step? Submit your application for admission, along with a financial aid application. As a bonus, most scholarships are automatic for eligible students accepted to Florida Southern.

2 Apply for state aid

Programs and application procedures vary by state. See your high school guidance office for details.

3 Apply for federal aid

File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which determines your eligibility for all federal aid—including loans and need-based institutional aid. Complete the FAFSA after Jan. 1 and before March 15 of your senior year. Florida Southern’s code on the FAFSA is 001488.
