Dennis Alter ‘80
Orthopedic Surgeon
Flagler Beach, Fla.
Since the days at the start of his career as a flight surgeon
for the Pentagon, Denny Alter ‘80 continues to fly high to this
day on the rewards that come from helping others. In practice
with his own orthopedic practice in Palm Coast, Fla. since 1992,
Denny says “my job is all about giving people joy back into
their lives. When someone comes in my office, grimacing in pain,
and they come back three months later, cane and pain free,
there’s my joy. I have the opportunity to interact with people
in a time of need and the ability to significantly impact their
quality of life.”
“Florida Southern College gave me a solid foundation in the
maths and sciences that helped me excel in medical school. Just
as important was my growth and development of successful social
skills.”
