As coach of a national baseball championship team (several in fact) and the leader of the nationally recognized athletic program at Florida Southern College, this alumnus has impacted the lives of student-athletes since 1957. Among his career recognitions have been National Coach of the Year, coach of the silver medal winning U.S. team in the World Tournament in Nicaragua and the Pan-American Games in Mexico City, and induction into the Florida Sportswriters’ Hall of Fame.
