Applying for financial aid is simple! Here’s how it works:

Apply for FSC financial aid in the fall of your senior year.

The sooner we know about you, the more financial assistance we can provide! You must be offered admission to Florida Southern before you can be considered for financial aid. Be sure to complete a financial aid application along with your application for admission.

Apply for State aid programs in early winter.

Complete your application for state aid. Programs and application procedures will vary by state, but the information will be readily available to you in your high school guidance office. (In Florida, it’s an easy online process of 5-10 minutes.)

Apply for Federal aid in mid-to late winter.

The MOST IMPORTANT step in applying for financial aid is filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year. You should file your FAFSA online in February-March of your senior year, as soon as your family’s tax returns have been completed.

By early Spring:

FSC will notify you of all of the college-funded, state, and federal aid available to you.
