Notable Faculty, to 1960
Florida Southern College celebrated its 75th anniversary in 1960. Great change marked those first seventy-five years; the evolution at its founding from a high school curriculum to a college curriculum; a move from Leesburg to Sutherland, to Clearwater, and in 1922 to Lakeland; and to a thriving institution on a growing campus. Among the constants that have remained are a motivated and eager student body, and a highly trained, committed, and engaged faculty. These pages provide a glimpse at a handful of notable faculty members whose service included the years up to 1960. This is an ongoing project.
