LAKELAND, Fla. (Dec. 21, 2005) —Two hundred twenty-six Florida Southern College students received diplomas at mid-year graduation ceremonies Dec. 17. William A. Walker II, Lay Leader of the Florida Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church and trustee of Florida Southern College, delivered the commencement address.

Graduates included seniors from the college’s traditional day program (127), the Lakeland evening program (33), and the Orlando program (60). Five students received their MBAs and one student received a MEd. Honors went to 64 graduates, with 32 summa cum laude, 16 magna cum laude, and 16 cum laude.
