Carol Channing performs at FSC’s Festival of Fine Arts

LAKELAND, Fla. (Jan. 5, 2005) — Florida Southern College presents “An Evening with Carol Channing,” Jan. 20 at 7:30 p.m. in Branscomb Auditorium, as part of its Festival of Fine Arts Series.

Florida Southern College welcomes this Tony Award-winning Broadway legend to its stage for an evening of repartée and song. Best known for her spirited warmth, her distinctive baritone voice, and roles in the highly successful Broadway musicals “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes” and “Hello, Dolly,” Channing’s musical revues and comedy acts are long-running hits on the international nightclub and concert hall circuit.
