Russian Ballet Theatre performs at Florida Southern College

LAKELAND, Fla. (Jan. 2, 2007) — Florida Southern College and the Festival of Fine Arts welcome the Russian National Ballet Theatre performing Prokofieff’s ballet “Cinderella.” The performance takes place Jan. 9 at 7:30 p.m. in Branscomb Auditorium on the Florida Southern campus.

The Russian National Ballet was founded in 1989 when Bolshoi Ballet principal dancer Sergei Radchenko began an independent new company. Under his direction, the company staged new productions of classics such as “Giselle,” “Don Quixote,” “Paquita,” and “Carmen.” As well, the company specializes in 20th century full-length ballets such as “Cinderella," "Romeo and Juliet," "Legend of Love," "Stone Flower," and "The Golden Age."

Tickets are $30. FSC students are admitted free of charge; non-FSC students admitted at half price. For ticket information, please contact the Branscomb Auditorium box office at (863) 680-4296.
