Robert MacDonald performs in Festival concert
LAKELAND, Fla. (Jan. 16, 2007) — Florida Southern welcomes pianist Robert MacDonald, artist-in-residence, presenting selections of his all-time favorite keyboard repertoire. “Robert MacDonald Presents” takes place Feb. 5 at 7:30 p.m. in Branscomb Auditorium on the Florida Southern campus. MacDonald has been with the college since 1964. He holds music degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Indiana University, and the Austrian Academy of Music in Vienna. After critically praised European solo debuts and a highly successful New York debut in Carnegie Recital Hall, he began concert-piano tours throughout the United States, with one such tour bringing him to FSC. In the ensuing years with the college, MacDonald has successfully combined teaching with concert touring and arts administration. Tickets are $20. FSC students are admitted free of charge; non-FSC students pay half price. For ticket information, please contact the Branscomb Auditorium box office at (863) 680-4296.
