FSC student elected undergraduate director of national Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity

LAKELAND, Fla. (March 9, 2007) — Florida Southern College junior Nathan Jordan, a recreational turfgrass management major, has been elected undergraduate director of the Board of Directors of Alpha Gamma Rho (AGR), the national agricultural fraternity. Only two members are selected each year to the board, from among 73 chapters throughout the nation. Jordan is currently serving his second year as Noble Ruler (president) of FSC’s AGR chapter.

“This speaks volumes for Nate, his performance and his abilities,” said G. Tim Hurner, citrus professor and director of the Citrus Institute. “Nate is a very good student and is looked up to by his peers. It was my honor and distinct pleasure to nominate him for this position.”

After graduation from FSC, Jordan plans to pursue a position in golf course management. He is the son of Thomas and Audrey Jordan of Canton, Ohio.
