FSC students chosen to attend ODK conference in New York
LAKELAND, Fla. (May 30, 2007) — Florida Southern College students Courtney Baker, Amy Clampitt-Holsenbeck and Christina Martin have been chosen by Omicron Delta Kappa to attend the third annual CLT2 (Campus Leaders Today, Community Leaders Tomorrow) conference in New York in June. ODK selects only 40 students from over 300 ODK circles in the country to participate in this program. CLT2 is designed to prepare ODK members for service on nonprofit boards. The program features national leaders in the field of nonprofit governance presenting information and advice on the nonprofit sector. “It is a remarkable achievement for one institution to have three students selected for this program in the same year,” said Larry Burke, FSC’s ODK faculty secretary. “It is a testament to the involvement and leadership abilities of these young women.” Baker is a senior biology major and daughter of Carl and Cherylann Baker of Clay, N.Y.; Clampitt-Holsenbeck is a senior athletic training major and daughter of Daniel Holsenbeck and Joyce Clampitt of Winter Springs, Fla.; and Martin is a sophomore psychology major and daughter of Robert and Susan Martin of Lakeland, Fla.
