FSC student chosen to serve on Student Advisory Committee of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity

LAKELAND, Fla. (Sept. 26, 2007) — Florida Southern College senior Daniel Rindt has been appointed as a member of the Student Advisory Committee (SAC) of Lambda Chi Alpha, one of the largest men's general fraternities in North America.

The SAC serves as the voice of the undergraduate membership within Lambda Chi Alpha.  Only 12 members throughout North America are selected for this committee. These members, from the fraternity’s 12 conclaves, assist the Grand High Zeta and fraternity staff with many objectives. By providing undergraduate representation, the SAC ensures a complete perspective on chapter and colony operations.

Rindt also serves as president of FSC’s Student Government Association. The music major plans to attend dental school following graduation from FSC. He is the son of Brian and Maureen Rindt of New Berlin, Wis.

“We are proud of Dan’s selection for this committee,” said Matthew Thompson, the college’s dean of student development. “His leadership at FSC has been proven by his election to a second term as president of the student body. It is a pleasure to see Dan receive national recognition for his passion and commitment to his fraternity.”
