The Jim Cullum Jazz Band performs at Florida Southern College

LAKELAND, Fla. (Oct. 12, 2007) — Florida Southern College and the Festival of Fine Arts welcome The Jim Cullum Jazz Band performing on Oct. 27. The event takes place at 7:30 p.m. in Branscomb Auditorium on the Florida Southern campus.

The Jim Cullum Jazz Band, active for over 40 years and often cited as the premier classic jazz band in America, has established musical and creative standards of excellence as realized by their successful weekly national radio broadcasts “Live from Riverwalk.” Cullum’s lifelong passion has been researching, preserving and presenting jazz and popular song from the turn of the 20th century to the mid-1940s.

Tickets are $30. FSC students are admitted free of charge; non-FSC students admitted at half price. For ticket information, contact the Branscomb Auditorium box office at (863) 680-4296.
