Borealis Woodwind Quintet to perform at Florida Southern College
LAKELAND, Fla. (Jan. 24, 2008) — Florida Southern College and the Festival of Fine Arts welcome the Borealis Woodwind Quintet on Feb. 7. The performance takes place at 7:30 p.m. in Branscomb Auditorium on the Florida Southern campus.
Acclaimed as one of America’s preeminent chamber ensembles, Borealis Woodwind Quintet has the distinction of being the first woodwind quintet ever nominated for a Grammy award. Founded in 1976, the ensemble gained national recognition when they were named "Young Artists to Watch" by High Fidelity/Musical America.
