Florida Southern holds fireworks display The event celebrates Founders Day and Homecoming

LAKELAND, Fla. (March 18, 2005) - Florida Southern College welcomes back its alumni on April 1-3 with its annual fireworks show. The display over Lake Hollingsworth, produced by the Grucci family, begins at 8:15 p.m. on Friday, April 1. The public is invited to enjoy the event. 

The fireworks display, sponsored by the FSC Alumni Association, is part of the annual celebration of Founders Day and Homecoming/alumni weekend. Approximately 500 FSC alumni will return to the area over the weekend. Traditionally, the event also celebrates the college's association with the Lakeland community. 

In preparation for and during the event, traffic along Lake Hollingsworth Road in front of the college will be diverted. The fireworks will last about 20 minutes.
