FSC Theatre Department presents "Romeo and Juliet"

LAKELAND, Fla. (March 27, 2008) — Florida Southern College’s theatre arts department will present Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet” in the Loca Lee Buckner Theatre on the college campus as part of FSC’s Festival of Fine Arts. Performances begin at 7:30 p.m. April 10-12 and April 17-19; matinees start at 2:30 p.m. April 13 and April 20. Paul D. Bawek of the theatre arts department directs his two-hour edited version of this Shakespeare classic.

“Romeo and Juliet,” Shakespeare's most famous play, combines the contrasting elements of humor and sorrow, bawdiness and civil strife, and innocent love and ignorant hate to rouse an amazing depth of mixed tenderness and tension.

Tickets are $15. FSC students are admitted free. Non-FSC students pay half price. For ticket information, please contact the Buckner Theatre box office at 863-680-3089 or bucknerboxoffice@flsouthern.edu. Box office hours are weekdays from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
