Accepted Students Day 2008

At this year’s celebratory event, students of the class of 2012 and their families came from all over the country to meet faculty, staff, and current students—beginning to make connections with their new community.

The day began with breakfast and a warm welcome and College Update from President Kerr.

Accepted students and their parents then attended seminars, talked to faculty and got a first-hand look at our engaged learning programs. They also had the opportunity to talk with Financial Aid and Admissions counselors to have their questions answered about making the transition to this new experience.

At the Academic and Organizational Expo, students had an opportunity to learn more about student life activities, residential life, cultural resources, and athletics on campus.

After a delicious barbeque lunch, the students and their families wrapped up the day with a leisurely tour of the dorms.

“Overall,” said Adam Mayhall, who plans to major in Spanish and was excited to learn more about FSC Study Aboard programs, “it was a great chance to talk to faculty and learn more about what I have to look forward to.”

Students who plan to attend Florida Southern should mail their deposits as soon as possible.
