LAKELAND -- Friends, alumni and staff of Florida Southern College were on hand Wednesday (Oct. 1) for the installation of "Spirit," a marble sculpture created by Mark Hollis for the Hollis Overlook Garden at Ingraham Avenue and Lake Hollingsworth Drive.

The garden will be fully sustainable, comprising sustainable designs, recycled materials and plants native to Florida. The three-tiered garden will include a canopy of existing trees and an open lawn punctuated by the sculpture, as well as a meandering path of Florida fieldstone that connects it all.

The Hollis Overlook Garden will be dedicated Oct. 30.
