Join Florida Southern College alumni, friends, and trustees for an exciting weekend in New York, June 26-27, 2009, featuring:

An Evening at the Guggenheim
The Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year with a major exhibition of Mr. Wright's designs. The exhibition, titled "Frank Lloyd Wright: From Within Outward," will feature many of the visionary architect's most significant designs, including his Florida Southern College campus. To celebrate Florida Southerns place in this once-in-a-lifetime event, the College has reserved the Museum for the evening of Friday, June 26, for a dinner and private viewing of the exhibit in Mr. Wrights spectacular Rotunda.

The evening's guest speaker will be world renowned architect Robert A.M. Stern, dean of the Yale School of Architecture and founder and president of Robert A.M. Stern Architects of New York. Dean Stern designed Florida Southern's magnificent new Barnett Residential Life Center and the Dr. Marcene H. and Robert E. Christoverson Humanities Building. Other distinguished guests will include members of the architectural and historic preservation communities.

The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. Address:  1071 5th Avenue at 89th Street. Cost is $100 per person. Dress is cocktail attire. Advanced registration is required and must be received by June 1.

For your convenience, the College has reserved a block of rooms at the historic Franklin Hotel near the Guggenheim Museum.

Round trip bus transportation from the Franklin Hotel will be provided at no charge.
