LAKELAND, Fla. (Oct. 12, 2009) — The Florida Southern College Chapter of Omicron Delta Kappa, the nations top collegiate honor society recognizing scholarship and leadership, tapped 25 new student members during FSC's Oct. 7 Convocation. The chapter also tapped Dr. Jo Jossim, associate professor of music at FSC, and Steve Bissonnette, assistant director of Community Development for the city of Lakeland. 

New members are recognized for leadership and service in areas including scholarship; athletics; campus or community service, social, religious activities, and campus government; journalism; speech and the mass media; and creative and performing arts. Membership in ODK is awarded to fewer than 3 percent of an institutions enrolled junior and senior students.

New student members are:
Jacob Bonne, a senior religion major. He is the son of Michael and Teresa Bonne of Cape Coral, Fla.

Jen Bruno, a junior bio-chemistry major. She is the daughter of Bruce and Teri Bruno of Summerfield, Fla.

Danielle Carr, a junior biology major. She is the daughter of Brian and Carole Carr of Bensalem, Pa.

Alyssa Colbert, a senior psychology major. She is the daughter of Todd and Vikki Colbert of Cocoa, Fla.

Angela Geraci, a senior music education major. She is the daughter of Nicholas and Claire Geraci of Sayville, N.Y.

Laura Howell, a senior English literature major. She is the daughter of Jimmy and Catherine Howell of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Kimberly Kolk, a junior advertising major. She is the daughter of Robert and Barbara Kolk of Fort Wayne, Ind.

Scott Gill-Jacobson, a senior history major. He is the son of Michael and Roseanne Gill-Jacobson of Greenville, Pa.

Summer Linville, a senior sociology major. She is the daughter of John and Rhonda Linville of Kissimmee, Fla.

Chalsey Martin, a senior biology major. She is the daughter of Jake and Helen Martin of Winter Haven, Fla.

Samantha Mattell, a senior mathematics major. She is the daughter of Jeff and Dawn Mattell of Marco Island, Fla.

Kristen Mauro, a junior psychology major. She is the daughter of Robert and Barbara Mauro of Manalapan, N.J.

Krista Miller, a senior broadcast communication major. She is the daughter of Marc and Dawn Miller of Bradenton, Fla.

Megan O'Toole, a senior biology major. She is the daughter of Thomas and Susan OToole of Wheaton, Md.

Dawn Pufahl, a senior music performance major. She is the daughter of Daine and Vercie Pufahl of Melbourne, Fla.

Kelsi Russell, a senior religion major. She is the daughter of Jon and Penny Russell of Clearwater, Fla.

Valorie Michal Sierens, a senior graphic design major. She is the daughter of Stephen and Valorie Sierens of Clermont, Fla.

Christine Simone, a senior print communication major. She is the daughter of Martin and Debra Simone of Englewood, Fla.

Keri Smith, a senior sociology major. She is the daughter of William and Rebecca Smith of Jacksonville, Fla.

Richard Soash, a senior history major. He is the son of Don and Ellen Soash of New Port Richey, Fla.

Scott Tripp, a senior music performance major. He is the son of Terence and Rosa Tripp of Seminole, Fla.

Samantha Tyburski, a senior sociology major. She is the daughter of Gerald and Margaret Tyburski of St. Augustine, Fla.

Ashley Wilson, a senior elementary education major. She is the daughter of Mark and Laura Wilson of Lutz, Fla.
