FSC psychology professor donates hair to Locks of Love
LAKELAND, Fla. (April 18, 2005) - The psychology department and the Psi Chi honor society at Florida Southern College are participating in a "Locks of Love" event, in which psychology faculty member Dr. Christopher H. Ramey will donate a portion of his hair to charity. The event takes place at noon on April 23 at Hair Razors Barbershop, 3139 South Florida Avenue in Lakeland.
Ramey's hair measures 26 inches, more than meeting the required 10-inch minimum length accepted by Locks of Love, a non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children suffering from long-term medical hair loss. Members of the psychology department and Psi Chi will attend, and faculty and students are invited to join the group to support a worthy cause.
