Lakeland | On Monday evening, January 17, Florida Southern College's Multicultural Student Council hosted "I Remember When..." in celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.

The event was presented as a roundtable discussion featuring FSC President Dr. Anne Kerr; Dr. Edwin Plowman, professor of sociology; Dr. Risdon Slate, professor of criminology; and Dr. Alan Smith, professor of religion. Also joining the panel was student Amberly Carter, a member of Delta Sigma Theta.

Panelists discussed the life and experiences of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

Brenda Lewis, director of FSC's Life and Cultural Center, said the event was a time of reflection and celebration. "It was a meaningful reflection on Dr. King's achievements, and his contributions to the country and the world," she said.
