FSC Student Earns Advertising Award
FSC senior Joe Citro received a Silver ADDY Award from the Imperial Polk Advertising Federation. LAKELAND, Fla. (Feb. 25, 2011) -- Florida Southern College student Joe Citro has received a Silver ADDY Award from the Imperial Polk Advertising Federation for his exceptionally creative work on an advertising campaign. Citro is a senior from Clearwater who is majoring in advertising and public relations. He was recognized in the brochure category of the student division for his creative work on a direct mail project. The direct mail project was designed for the Diocese of St. Petersburg's Annual Pastoral Appeal Campaign. Citro's entry will now move on to the American Advertising Federation statewide district contest that will take place in April. Citro also serves as President of Florida Southern College's AdFed chapter and is an intern at Madden Brand Identity in Lakeland. "Receiving the student ADDY Award is a wonderful achievement for Joe," said Dr. Alex Ortiz, FSC advertising professor. "I know that Mr. Citro will do very well at the statewide competition." The ADDY Awards is the world's largest advertising competition and recognizes the best creative work in the industry. Citro received the award during the Imperial Polk Advertising Federation's 2011 ADDY Rockstar Awards Bash event on Feb. 18 at the Polk Museum of Art. |
