student recognized with Reuter Scholarship at Florida Southern College
Honors Convocation
LAKELAND, Fla.
(April 18, 2002) - Renee Vanderslice, a junior humanities major
from Lakeland, Fla., was awarded the Reuter Scholarship at the annual
Honors Convocation at Florida Southern College. The event, held
on April 10, brought recognition to numerous students in a variety
of categories. Vanderslice is the daughter of Robert and Jean Vanderslice.
The Reuter Scholarship
Fund was established in honor of John R. Reuter by his parents,
Paul B. and E. Louise Reuter. The fund is awarded solely on the
basis of academic achievement. Eligible students must be of ability
and good character, board at the college, and maintain a 3.5 grade
point average. Reuter award checks are given directly to the students
to be used as they desire.
