appointed to Florida Southern board of trustees
LAKELAND, Fla. (June 11,
2003) - M. Hunt Berryman, a Lakeland trucking company executive,
was appointed to Florida Southern College's board of trustees in
May at the Florida United Methodist Annual Conference in Lakeland.
Berryman will serve on the board for a three-year term.
Berryman is president and founder of Sunco Carriers, Inc., a regional
trucking company based in Lakeland. He is a member of the Florida
Southern College President's Council. In addition, he currently
serves on the board of directors at the Florida Trucking Association
and the Truckload Carriers Association and is active with numerous
other community organizations. Berryman has received awards for
his community service, including Leadership Lakeland's Jere Annis
Award, the Hollis award given by Florida Baptist Family Ministries,
the 1999 George Jenkins award given by the Lakeland Chamber, and
the Florida Chamber's Chairman's Award.

president of Florida Southern. "His deep commitment to education
is recognized throughout the state."
