2003 Honor Walk recipient
FSC's highest honor goes to Amanda
Michelle Curry
LAKELAND, Fla. (April
23, 2003) - Amanda Michelle Curry, a graduating senior from Lakeland,
Fla., was named the 2003 Honor Walk Student during Honors Convocation
April 16 at Florida Southern College.
Curry, a business major, begins graduate school in the fall at the
College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Va. She is the daughter
of Jay and Diane Curry of Lakeland, Fla.
Each year the college selects a graduating senior for its highest
honor based on the student's academic achievements and exceptional
involvement in campus activities. Curry has won a number of awards
and recognitions, including the Delta Sigma Pi Scholarship Key Award,
Outstanding Economics Award, and Outstanding Management Award. She
was selected for the 2003 edition of "Who's Who Among Students in
American Universities and Colleges," and is a President's Scholar.
The college held a ceremony following the convocation to unveil
the Honor Walk name piece, which was installed in the Honor Walk
sidewalk located in front of Joseph-Reynolds Residence Hall.
