Florida Southern College hosts exhibition
of Lakeland Art Guild

LAKELAND, Fla. (Feb. 19, 2003) - Florida Southern College will host the annual Lakeland Art Guild Juried Exhibition in the Melvin Art Gallery beginning March 4 and running through March 28. The opening reception takes place March 4 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The artists will attend the event, which will feature live music and a dance performance.

"The Lakeland Art Guild has had its spring show at Florida Southern College for many years," said Dr. James Rogers, art department chair. "FSC faculty and students are regular participants in the show, which represents a cross section of the excellent art that is being produced in our community."

The Melvin Art Gallery is open weekdays from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. and before and during intermissions of most performances of the FSC Fine Arts Series.
