announces Faculty Volunteer of the Year
LAKELAND, Fla.
(April 24, 2003) - Dr. Kathleen Milburn, education professor, was
awarded the Florida Southern College Faculty Volunteer of the Year
award at the annual Honors Convocation April 16.
Milburn was
recognized for spearheading a $2,500 service learning grant and
for her work with READ Lakeland, a volunteer literacy council that
matches tutors with adults who are non-readers or have limited academic
skills. Milburn has been with Florida Southern since 1995.
