Arts presents
"The Pirates of Penzance"
LAKELAND, Fla. (Jan. 24,
2003) - Florida Southern's Festival of Fine Arts presents "The Pirates
of Penzance" Feb. 5. The production, featuring New York singer/actors,
full orchestra and colorful sets, begins at 7:30 p.m. in Branscomb
Auditorium.
The Gilbert and Sullivan musical premiered at the Fifth Avenue Theatre
in New York on December 31, 1879 with Arthur Sullivan conducting.
The story of young Frederic and his band of pirates has entertained
audiences ever since.
Tickets are $20. FSC students are admitted free of charge; cost
for non-FSC students is $10. For ticket information, please contact
