FSC Relay For Life
teams
raise over $10,000 for cancer research
LAKELAND, Fla. (April
15, 2003) - Eleven Florida Southern College teams participated in
the Lakeland Cancer Society's annual Relay For Life April 11-12.
The teams raised $10,176.88.
The American Cancer Society's Relay For Life is an overnight event
that raises money for cancer research and programs. FSC teams participating
in the event included Alpha Delta Pi, Kappa Delta, Zeta Tau Alpha,
Alpha Omicron Pi, Lambda Chi Omega, Phi Eta Sigma, Record Magazine,
Heretics United, Chicks for a Cure, Living Legends, and Southern
Sertoma. Chicks for a Cure raised the most money, $1,646 followed
by ADPi with $1,100 and Kappa Delta with $1,003. In addition to
the money raised by the individual teams, the Interfraternity/Panhellenic
Council raised $1,250 to be a Bronze Sponsor.
