Symphony of Ireland
performs in Festival concert
LAKELAND, Fla.
(March 19, 2003) - Florida Southern College welcomes the National
Symphony of Ireland with Irish piano-soloist John O'Conor. The performance
begins at 7:30 p.m. April 3 in Branscomb Auditorium.
This long-established
and prestigious orchestra includes in its repertoire some of the
greatest world classics, along with sounds familiar to the Emerald
Isle. O'Conor has earned a reputation as a masterful interpreter
of the Classic and early-Romantic piano repertoires, through his
recitals, concerto appearances, and critically acclaimed recordings.
He has performed throughout Europe, North America, and Asia.
Tickets are
$25. FSC students are admitted free of charge; non-FSC students
