Southern College sophomore
among 20 outstanding college students in Florida
LAKELAND, Fla.
(March 19, 2003) - Florida Southern College sophomore Cathalain
Marie Tobin, has been chosen as one of 20 honorees in the 2003 Florida
College Student of the Year Award. The Award recognizes outstanding
campus leaders statewide.
Tobin, a mathematics
& computer science major, is the daughter of Richard and Deborah
Tobin of Peoria, Ariz.
The Florida
College Student of the Year Award, in its 16th year, is sponsored
by Florida Leader Magazine, SunTrust, Office Depot and other companies
to honor students who excel academically, support themselves financially,
and volunteer in the community and on campus. The winners will share
nearly $60,000 in scholarships and prizes. An awards ceremony and
press conference will be held April 11 in Tallahassee.
