Florida Southern
College presents
exhibit of award-winning graphic designs
LAKELAND, Fla. (Oct. 8, 2003) - Florida
Southern College presents award-winning designs from the American
Institute of Graphic Arts. The exhibit starts Oct. 15 and runs through
Nov. 17 in the Melvin Art Gallery. Robert Recht, professor of art
and head of the graphic design program, will give a brief talk during
the Oct. 15 opening reception taking place from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
AIGA competitions recognize the best design work in America. In
conjunction with the college's new student AIGA chapter, the Melvin
Art Gallery will show the winners of three competitions: 50 Books
/ 50 Covers + ¡Propaganda! Cuban Political and Film Posters + Get
out the Vote, American Election Posters.
The Melvin Art Gallery is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
and during intermissions of most performances of the FSC Fine Arts
Series.
