Dave Brubeck Quartet
performs
at Festival of Fine Arts
LAKELAND, Fla. (Jan. 23,
2004) - Florida Southern College and the Festival of Fine Arts welcome
The Dave Brubeck Quartet to Branscomb Auditorium Feb. 7 at 7:30
p.m.
Dave Brubeck is one of the most well known jazz pianists of all
time. Now in his eighties, this legendary jazzman has played for
six U.S. presidents, holds the National Medal of the Arts, and received
a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. The original group performed
for 17 years together, producing the million-seller tune Take Five.
Brubeck has continued to perform and compose since the quartet disbanded
in 1967.
Tickets are $20. FSC students are admitted free of charge; non-FSC
