holds
first lecture of the semester
LAKELAND, Fla. (September 29, 2003)
- The English department at Florida Southern College presents a
lecture by Dr. Rebecca R. Saulsbury, English professor, who will
discuss "Christian Conversion and the 'Foreign' Body in Maria S.
Cummins' 'El Fureidis.'" The presentation takes place tomorrow at
3:45 p.m. in the William H. Danforth Chapel on campus. The public
is invited and refreshments will be served.
Saulsbury joined Florida Southern in 1999. She received her bachelor's
degree from the University of Puget Sound and went on to Purdue,
earning her master's in English and American literature in 1992
and her Ph.D. in American studies in 1999.
