Robert MacDonald 
performs in Festival concert 

LAKELAND, Fla. (Feb. 11, 2004) - Florida Southern welcomes pianist Robert MacDonald, artist-in-residence, presenting keyboard music from throughout the ages. MacDonald celebrates 40 years of performing at Florida Southern on Feb. 24 at 7:30 p.m. in Branscomb Auditorium. 

MacDonald, director of FSC's Festival of Fine Arts, has been with the college since 1964. He holds music degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Indiana University, and the Austrian Academy of Music in Vienna. After critically praised European solo debuts and a highly successful New York debut in Carnegie Recital Hall, he began concert-piano tours throughout the United States, with one such tour bringing him to FSC. In the ensuing years with the college, MacDonald has successfully combined teaching with concert touring and arts administration.
