FSC basketball teams
tip off
with Midnight Madness
LAKELAND,
Fla. (Oct. 9, 2003) - The 2003-04 Florida Southern College basketball
season begins with Midnight Madness on Oct 14 starting at 9:30 p.m.
Students, faculty, alumni and FSC basketball fans are invited to
help the championship Mocs tip off their new season. The event is
free and open to the public.
A Meet The Mocs BBQ and slideshow begin at 9:30 p.m. in front of
the bandshell. At 10 p.m. the festivities will move into Jenkins
Field House where fans may meet the teams, participate in a 3-Point
Shoot-Out Contest, Senior Challenge, Dizzy Bat Race, Half Court
Challenge and Most Moc Spirit Contest. The teams will play a co-ed
scrimmage, and then players will demonstrate their skills in the
Slam Dunk Contest. Free t-shirts, FSC basketball giveaways, cash
prizes, and gift certificates will be raffled off throughout the
night.
Earlier in the evening, FSC will host the Mocs' volleyball team
vs. North Florida and the women's soccer team vs. Rollins, both
at 7 p.m. Fans are encouraged to come out early and support these
teams.
