FSC student named
Miss Florida Citrus for 2004
LAKELAND, Fla. (Nov. 10, 2003) - Nikki
Upthegrove, a senior citrus-business major at Florida Southern College,
has been appointed by the Florida Department of Citrus (DOC) as
"Miss Florida Citrus" for 2004. A DOC committee made the selection
based on interviews before the committee and the Citrus Commission.
Upthegrove's reign as Miss Florida Citrus will take her to events
and festivals all over the continental United States. After graduation,
she plans to work in the public relations area of the citrus industry.
She is the daughter of Robert and Joyce Upthegrove of Plant City,
Fla.
