FSC professors awarded
a place in
"Who's Who Among America's Teachers"
LAKELAND, Fla. (Feb. 17,
2004) - Florida Southern College faculty members Dr. Eugene Lebrenz
and Dr. Edwin Plowman have been included in the 8th Edition of "Who's
Who Among America's Teachers," to be published in November 2004.
Nominations may come only from students who themselves are listed
in Who's Who Among America's High School Students or The National
Dean's List, and students may nominate only one teacher from their
entire academic experience.
Lebrenz was nominated by Charleene Closshey, a 2002 graduate of
FSC. "Charleene was an outstanding student in my managerial finance
class in the fall of 2001," Lebrenz recalled. This is his third
appearance in "Who's Who." Lebrenz, who teaches economics, has been
with FSC since 1987.
Plowman was nominated by Billie Martino, a senior sociology major.
"What a challenge and a blessing it is to be a teacher," Plowman
said. A sociology professor, Plowman has been with FSC since 1978.
