FSC professors awarded
a place in
"Who's Who Among America's Teachers"
LAKELAND, Fla. (Feb. 26,
2004) - Florida Southern College faculty members Dr. Lynn H. Clements
and Dr. Barbara Giles have been included in the 8th Edition of "Who's
Who Among America's Teachers," to be published in November 2004.
Nominations may come only from students who themselves are listed
in "Who's Who Among America's High School Students" or "The National
Dean's List," and students may nominate only one teacher from their
entire academic experience.
Clements was nominated by Lisa Russo, a 2002 graduate of FSC. "I
am honored to be included in 'Who's Who' and thankful to be remembered
by an exceptional FSC alumnus," said Clements. The accounting professor
received her bachelor's and MBA degrees at Florida Southern and
has been with the college since 1990.
Giles was nominated by Tanisha Saunders, an FSC senior political
science major. "Tanisha Saunders is an excellent student who plans
to continue her studies after graduating in May," said Giles, a
political science professor. "It is an honor for me to be recognized
by a student for having made a difference in her life." This is
the second appearance for Giles in "Who's Who." She has been with
FSC since 1986.
