Driving Directions

The directions below direct visitors to the admissions office. If you would like to reach another location on our campus, please check the campus map.

Because of our central location, directional web sites will offer varying routes. For the easiest route, we recommend you follow the driving directions below:

Travel along I-75/I-275 from the North and West
Tallahassee, Gainsville, Ocala, Tampa, Sarasota, Fort Myers, Naples

Take I-75 or I-275 South to I-4 East. Follow I-4 to Exit 27 (570E, Polk Parkway).  Follow Polk Parkway east to Exit 7 (South Florida Avenue/North). Turn left at South Florida Avenue to Beacon Avenue. Go right on Beacon to Lake Hollingsworth Drive. Taking the right fork, follow the perimeter of the lake.  Turn right onto Callahan Court. [Print Google map and directions]

Travel along I-4 from Orlando Area

Take I-4 west to Exit 41 (570E, Polk Parkway).  Follow Polk Parkway west to Exit 7 (South Florida Avenue/North). Turn right at South Florida Avenue to Beacon Avenue. Go right on Beacon to Lake Hollingsworth Drive. Travel along I-95 from the East Coast
Jacksonville, St. Augustine, Daytona

Take I-95 south to Exit 260B (I-4). Follow I-4 west toExit 41 (570E, Polk Parkway).  Follow Polk Parkway west to Exit 7 (South Florida Avenue/North). Turn right at South Florida Avenue to Beacon Avenue. Go right on Beacon to Lake Hollingsworth Drive. Taking the right fork, follow the perimeter of the lake. Turn right onto Callahan Court. Travel along the Florida Turnpike from the Southeast
Port St. Lucie, Palm Beaches, Fort Lauderdale, Miami

Take the Florida Turnpike North to the Yeehaw Junction (Route 60). Follow 60 west toward Tampa. Once in Bartow, follow the signs for Highway 98 North. Follow 98 into Lakeland. Watch for Grove Park Shopping Plaza on your left. Just past the shopping center, turn left onto North Crystal Lake Dr. Continue on Crystal Lake until it ends. Turn right on Lake Hollingsworth Drive follow around the perimeter of the lake. Take a right onto Callahan Court. [Print Google map and directions]

Parking is available directly behind the Admissions building, first driveway
on your right.

Public Transportation

By Plane:
Both Orlando International (MCO) and Tampa International (TPA) are less than an hour from Florida Southern and have ground transportation to Lakeland.

Ground Transportation from Tampa
Lakeland is served by limo companies that operate on a pre-reserved basis only. Rates and availability will vary. Yellow Cab of Lakeland (863) 665-8155 and Blue One Transportation (813) 789-8380 both provide service to Lakeland. Fare is approximately $65. Please contact them directly for more information.

Ground Transportation from Orlando
Best Coach USA Shuttles provides service to Lakeland. Please contact them at (877) 760-5800 for their rates or to make reservations.

By Train:
Amtrak’s Silver Service/Palmetto line services the Lakeland area. The station is located approximately two miles from the College at:
600 East Main Street

By Bus:
A Greyhound station located approximately 2 miles from
Florida Southern at
303 N Massachusetts Avenue

A cab ride from the bus station to the College is about $6.
