Carole and Marcus Weinstein Computer Science Building

On November 16, 2018, Florida Southern broke ground on the Carole and Marcus Weinstein Computer Sciences Center. The structure is Frank Lloyd Wright inspired and houses not only classrooms, but also collaborative learning spaces, a Cybersecurity and Informatics Lab, a Logistics Center Suite, and student technology centers. The construction came after the number of students in the major doubled in five years and opened in Fall 2021 in time for the new academic year.
Named in honor of Carole Weinstein and her husband Dr. Marcus Weinstein. Together they co-founded Weinstein Properties, a private real estate company in Richmond, Virginia. Marcus serves as Chairman, and Carole as vice chairman. Marcus and Carole both received an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from FSC in 2012 and 2022 respectively. Carole serves as a member of the Board of Trustees at FSC. She and her husband are passionate philanthropists and donors in the community.
