Reynolds-Chope Outdoor Space

Located next to Dell Hall is the Reynolds-Chope Outdoor Space, which was created in 2021 to provide students with a safe place to gather outside because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The space was named after alumni Charles L. Reynolds, Jr. (Class of 1965) and his wife Anne (Class of 1966) as well as William A. Chope (Class of 1971) and his wife Jennifer.
Charles Reynolds was born March 26, 1963, in Sebring, Florida. He earned a B.A. degree in business from Florida Southern College. Reynolds was a founding member of the Highlands County Citrus Growers Association, co-founder of Interlake Academy, and a member of the board of trustees.
William Chope was born March 23, 1949, in Detroit, Michigan. He studied at Florida Southern College. He worked for the National Bank of Detroit and Keans Detroit Yacht Harbor. Chope is now the president of Crest Automotive Inc.
