You already know how college works, so we keep transfer admission straightforward. Transfer students are admitted on a rolling basis, and we encourage you to apply before the priority deadlines to make the most of your scholarship opportunities.

Do you already have a Common App profile? Great. You can simply add FSC to your application, making it fast and easy to apply.

Requirements for Transfer Applicants

Your transfer application shares the same core as any FSC application, plus a few items specific to transferring:

  • Official college transcripts from all schools you've previously attended, ordered and sent directly to Florida Southern Office of Admissions through Parchment or National Student Clearinghouse.
  • An official high school transcript, required only if you'll bring fewer than 25 transferable college credits.
  • Report of Social Standing Form, required if you've attended a post-secondary institution.
  • International applicants: official TOEFL iBT, IELTS, or SAT/ACT scores are required if English is not your native language

Deadlines for Admission

Transfer students are admitted on a rolling basis and receive decisions approximately three weeks from the date their application and all credentials have been received. We encourage you to apply before the priority deadlines to maximize your scholarship opportunities.

Will My Credits Transfer?

Most of them, in most cases. Florida Southern accepts college-level coursework from other accredited institutions that meet our transfer eligibility requirements. As a general guide, we transfer:

  • Courses completed with a grade of C or better
  • Up to 62 credits from a community college
  • Up to 93 credits from a four-year college or university

Transferring Into Nursing?

Florida Southern's direct-entry Bachelor of Science in Nursing welcomes a limited number of transfer students each year. Because nursing has its own prerequisites (including Anatomy and Physiology and a minimum GPA), it follows a separate transfer path.

You are considered a transfer applicant if you have taken any university/college coursework after graduating high school.

Typically, up to 62 credits from a two-year community college or up to 93 credits from a four-year college or university will be accepted. Courses must have a C or better. A transfer evaluation will be completed during the application process.

Transfer students can live in one of our traditional residence halls or in one of our off-campus housing options.

Yes! 99% of FSC students, including transfer students, receive financial aid. We are Transfer Academic Recognition Scholarships, talent-based and departmental awards, as well as Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Scholarships. Please note that the PTK award cannot be combined with an athletics scholarship.

Florida encourages students over the age of 24 to apply to adult degree programs that meet the needs of working adults.

If you have earned fewer than 25 transferrable college credits you must also submit high school transcripts and scores.

Recipients of Bright Future Scholarship that meet the renewal cumulative GPA requirements may visit the Bright Futures Scholarship Program website to transfer their scholarship award to Florida Southern College.

    Pay your enrollment deposit to lock in your place, financial aid, and housing. Once you deposit, your status page opens up so you can complete your housing form and register for transfer advising. $500 for residential students, $300 for commuters.

    Complete the FAFSA and list Florida Southern (school code 001488) so we can finalize your financial aid award.

  3. 3

    Check your inbox for your evaluation from the Registrar's Office to see exactly how your credits transferred and what counts toward your degree.

    Share your housing preferences and emergency contact information. The form opens on your Status page once you've submitted your deposit, so complete it as soon as you can to get your preferred option.

  5. 5

    Once your current term ends, send final official transcripts from every college you've attended, along with any AP, IB, or CLEP scores. Your transcripts must arrive before you can meet with an academic advisor to review your transfer credit and register for classes.
