First-Year Students
Start your college experience surrounded by community, with your Resident Advisor and floormates just steps away.

Our residence halls are more than a place to sleep. They're where you'll pull an all-nighter with your study group, share a late dinner with friends, and find the people who make FSC feel like home. Whether you want a historic hall in the middle of everything or an apartment with a lake view and your own kitchen, there's a place here that fits. We could tell you about it, but it's better if we show you.
The best way to know a place is through the people who live there. Step inside our residence halls and see the rooms, common spaces, and lakefront views for yourself.

Florida Southern offers residence halls and apartments across campus, from traditional first-year halls to furnished apartments with full kitchens and Greek housing. Each residence has its own character, whether that's lake views, a historic building at the heart of campus, or the independence of apartment living. With this many options, you'll find your fit.

Move toward independence with halls for continuing students, apartments, and graduate housing.
Your education doesn't stop when you leave the classroom. Residence Life programs are built around a nationally recognized leadership model, so the things you do in your hall build real skills: working with people who see things differently, leading a group, following through on something that matters. Along the way you'll make the friendships that outlast graduation.

You won't navigate campus life alone. Professional staff in the Office of Residence Life help you settle in and build community throughout your time at FSC. Your Resident Advisor is a fellow student who was recently in your shoes, living in your building and ready to help you make friends, work through a roommate question, or figure out where to go when something comes up. Beyond your hall, campus safety officers, health and wellness staff, and disability services are all within walking distance.

New to campus? Here's how you get your room, step by step.
Housing is guaranteed. Every FSC student is guaranteed on-campus housing. All students live on campus unless they live with a parent or legal guardian within 30 miles of campus.
Once your deposit is in, you'll be invited to complete the Housing Form and share your preferences.
The sooner you complete it after deciding to attend, the better.
Pick your own or get matched. You'll receive an email with instructions to create your profile, set your preferences, and send or accept roommate requests.
New students who submit their deposit by the April 1 deadline receive their housing assignment on Match Day, June 1. You'll get an email with instructions to log in to your FSC Portal and see your room and your roommate's contact information.
You'll eat well here. Options include Chicken Guy!, BBQ, Boar's Head sandwiches, sushi, and salad bars, plus food marts across campus for a coffee or a snack between classes. Have dietary needs? Dining Services will work with you.

All students are required to live in campus housing unless they live with a parent or legal guardian within 30 miles of campus.
