Erica Bernheim, Ph.D.

Erica Bernheim

Dr. Bernheim is a Professor of English at Florida Southern College, where she directs the Creative Writing Program. She is also the faculty adviser of the Cantilevers Undergraduate Journal. She earned her BA from Miami University, her MFA from the University of Iowa, and her Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Robert Creeley, Elizabeth Bishop, William Faulkner, Frederick Seidel, James Dickey, Barbara Gowdy, Kazuo Ishiguro, Katherine Dunn, and Lynda Barry are a few of her favorite writers. Her first full-length poetry collection, The Mimic Sea, was published in 2012 by 42 Miles Press (Indiana University - South Bend).
